Computers are infinitely useful. They store our most precious memories in the form of videos and photos, as well as programs which help us to budget and plan for the future. Sometimes all of these programs aren't useful though and they begin to take up precious resources that slow down the performance of our system. Boost is a program that goes through all of these programs and sorts through them. It defines the useful and the junk and then throws out the junk.

One of the chief culprits of low PC performance is malware and adware. In addition to giving you a useful program, some programs tack on needless toolbars and system-hogging resources you don't need. It's easy to sort through and get rid of this junk with a program like Boost. It scans your computer, analyzes what each program is using in terms of resources, and then gives you the option to get rid of resource hogging programs or bits of them that aren't useful.

One thing that Boost won't do is go through the registry, so if you need a registry "fixer" you're out of luck here. Many people argue that registry fixers don't do a lot of good and take up much space themselves. Boost left this part of "cleaning" out intentionally. However, some people swear by registry cleaners, so whether this is a plus or minus depends on your philosophy about performance boosters.
